Finally back in singapore and blogging now... Oh man I spent the last few moments of 2005 rotting at home and looking after my injuries... Did not went out to countdown... But I was able to catch the amazing fireworks which lasts for 15 minutes this year! It's great man the fireworks and it's beautiful too! Came back from Mt.Ophir on 29 dec. I must admit that I am the weakest and the injury prone one in the whole grp... First day went there we had lunch at the malaysia station. After finding the bus getting to Gunung Ledang resort we set off to the place. Guess what? The whole journey from the malaysia station to the resort took us like 4 hrs to reach there. We reached there at 5pm and then we waited while some of our instructors register our names for us. Soon it started pouring and then still we went on with the journey up to the base camp. On the way up we saw the waterfall and the river. It's so natural and beautiful. ahah then continue with the journey and we were very afraid that we might hit night trek however we manage to reach the base camp when night falls and we started pitching up tents and also cook out dinner. After some light activities we slept. The weather there at night is like aircon under 12 degrees freezing cold lo... Somemore it rains and we have to sleep in flooded tent. Next morning we set off to the submmit. First part are all the flat grd and all the overhanging branches and so on. After that we had to climb ladder to the goat cave and then climb over a vertical wall with the help of only a rope. That was called the KFC. Why? I also not sure leh something like killing field something de la. Then I slide down from the vertical wall twice causing abration on my back thighs. Then I can't make it at first while all my frens are all on top of the wall waiting liao. Then they motivated me up and okie lo I reached. After that the aircon on top of the mountain is even colder and some of us could not stand it liao... After that we reached botak land and after like 30 minutes of climb we reached the submmit and too bad we didn't bring camera and could not take any picture of us. It's much more colder and more windy on top. We had lunch there before we set off down to our base camp again... On the way down ahah we keep asking ourselves how did we climb up? Ard 5 we reached our campsite again and then cook our dinner and later sleep. This time very cold and the tent is really flood till no one can sleep lo. aha then soem of our ppl also down liao then must take care of them. Last day came along and we had to go back down and catch the bus and go back to singapore. Then that day we reached singapore at ard 6 plus with tha jam and all the traffic. Ya anyway lucky I did not roll down the mountain and I am back safely. hehe it's indeed a different experience. So ya this is the adventure for last month. Happie new year ppl! Take care. =D
